Rare plastic chess pieces vintage Russian chess set. Lightweigt chessmen + massive wooden chess board. Total weight is about 1.8 kg.
Damages: I have two this model chess sets with damaged pieces. I choose the most good condition chess board and replaced some chess pieces, so white king and white bishop, also black pawn and black rook are from the identical similar chess set. Black queen was broken in both sets. This piece is glued in the middle.
Board size: 43x43 cm. (about 17 "). King`s height is 9.2 cm. (3 5/8 "). Pawn`s height is 5.5 cm.
Chess was a very popular game in the Soviet Union.&nbsp; Children and adults were playing chess regularly, playing at home, on the streets, in the clubs.
