When I conceived this box I wanted to make it a bit artificial, crackled and worn to imitate the marks of time. The book has a “damaged spine” in places, “slightly frayed corners”. But it looks solid and solid! The book is decorated with “precious stones” along the spine. The box has been carefully treated with several coats of acrylic varnish that protects it from moisture and penetration, ensuring durability for years to come. Everything is coated with a high quality, harmless, water-based acrylic varnish. The box is waxed inside and out, so nice to the touch. The bottom of the box is lined with velvet. All of the materials used in the work are water-based, safe, environmentally friendly. It can be wiped down with a damp, but not a wet cloth.
