The appearance of one of the oldest icons of the Mother of God The Healer occurred during the time of St. Nina, the enlightener of Georgia (IV century). The icon was located in the Tsilkan temple in the area of Kartalinia.
The icon depicts the Mother of God standingI'm sitting at the bedside of a sick cleric. The iconographic plot for the miraculous image was the legend of the miraculous healing described in the work of St. Demetrius of Rostov "The Watered Fleece".
