Khokhloma is an ancient Russian folk craft that appeared in the XVII century in the village of Khokhloma, which is a decorative painting of wooden dishes and furniture made in red, green and golden tones on a black background.

Initially, such souvenir plaques were made for gifts to foreigners for the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980.
