Stone oil, known in Asian countries as brakshun (translates as "juice of the rock"), is a mineral substance obtained by scraping rocks in rocky crevices. If you consider the chemical origin of the substance, it is aluminum alum, the color of which can vary depending on the particular rock. It comes predominantly creamy and yellowish in color.
Peculiarities of extraction and composition of rock oil
This unique in nature natural complex is found in hard-to-reach places. The deposits are whitish-yellow in color and are the products of rock leaching. Once removed from the rocky surface, they look like shapeless lumps, which can vary in size. The substance has astringent sweet and sour flavor, and dissolves very well.
Due to the peculiarities of the extraction process, the substance is often collected together with pieces of stones. White mumie can be cleaned of them by dissolving it, then filtering the resulting mass and drying the filtrate. In the process, foreign products will remain on the surface of the filter. Since in the course of such processing stone oil is not exposed to heat, it fully preserves its useful composition.
The product has a unique composition, including many valuable trace elements. Due to the peculiarities of the rocks of this or that area, the content of the useful components in the stone oil, and accordingly the therapeutic effect will vary significantly. The basis of the composition of this substance is magnesium sulfate.
