Stepanov - The publication is dedicated to the World Chess Championship match, which took place in the spring of 1954 in Moscow. Special attention is paid to the sports biographies of M. Botvinnik and V. Smyslov, as well as the analysis of their final games.

2. "Match Botvinnik - Smyslov for the world championship" 1955 year. 120  pages. Author: Botvinnik M.M. - The book is a collection of games of the match for the title of the strongest chess player in the world between the 6th champion Mikhail Botvinnik and the challenger Vasily Smyslov, held in 1954. Botvinnik became champion in 1948, winning the world championship match, and defended his title in 1951 from David Bronstein's claims. Smyslov won the right to fight for the chess crown by winning the 1953 Candidates Tournament.

Both Smyslov and Botvinnik are representatives of the Soviet chess school, but their work is purely individual. The meeting between the two giants of chess thought took place in a bitter struggle, the leadership in which changed, and Botvinnik suffered 3 defeats in a row for the first time in 25 years. The challenger did not have enough to win, the match ended in a draw, which, according to the rules of those years, retained the title of the reigning champion. As required by the regulations, the opponents played 24 games. In this edition, each of them is presented and commented on by the author.

3. "Rematch Smyslov - Botvinnik". 1960 year. 136 pages. Author: Botvinnik M.M. - In 1954, the first title match took place between world chess champion Mikhail Botvinnik and title contender Vasily Smyslov. That meeting ended in a draw and allowed the champion to retain the title. Three years later, the rivals met again at the board with the same intentions. Smyslov wanted to win the chess crown, Botvinnik wanted to defend it. This time the champion wavered and was forced to part with the title of the strongest chess player in the world.

A rematch, as is customary according to the regulations, was scheduled for next year. This book is dedicated to this very event. It is a collection of games of the 1958 World Championship Smyslov - Botvinnik match. In total, 23 games were played, revenge took place, the match ended with a score of 12.5: 10.5 in favor of Botvinnik. All games are analyzed by the winner. In the preface, the publication contains a publicistic essay by V. Ragozin on the history of the struggle for the world championship.
