We carved this hair fork with woodcarving chisels. The hairpin itself was tinted with different brown shades. An environmentally friendly shellac coating was used as a finishing layer. Shellac as wood finish is natural and non-toxic in its pure form. A finish made of shellac is UV-resistant.
