With long-term use of Polysorb MP (more than 14 days), the absorption of vitamins and calcium may be impaired, and therefore prophylactic use of multivitamin preparations and preparations containing calcium is recommended.
Externally, Polysorb MP powder can be used in the complex treatment of purulent wounds, trophic ulcers and burns.
Polysorb MP has sorption, detoxification, antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing properties.
The drug adsorbs from the intestinal contents and removes from the body exogenous and endogenous toxins of various origins, including pathogenic bacteria and bacterial toxins, antigens, food allergens, drugs and poisons, heavy metal salts, radionuclides, alcohol.
Polysorb MP also adsorbs some metabolic products of the body (including bilirubin, urea, cholesterol and lipid complexes).
Polysorb MP does not break down and is not absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract. It is quickly eliminated from the body unchanged.
