ORDER OF THE WHITE EAGLE

shared. The basis of the sign - a white eagle on a red cross - was a double-headed eagle of such
the same drawing as that of Andrew the First-Called. Star gold with old motto on blue
background: PRO FIDE, REGE ET LEGE - FOR FAITH, KING AND LAW. The ribbon is dark blue.
One of the oldest Polish orders, established by the Polish king in 1705.
In 1831, the order was included in the Russian awards.
