The bird and the tree are equally captivating in this painting. The woodpecker is so life-like and the precision of the details are hard to fully appreciate online. When you receive it and hold it in your hands, your appreciation is so much greater. I am always taken aback a little bit when I receive this artist's paintings--a little awestruck. You feel like you are actually encountering the creature that is on the paper. It's hard to explain! The birch wood is also painted impeccably. The slight "bleeding" and "feathering" of the watercolor paint is used painstakingly by the artist to create a very realistic looking birch bark. The soft blue accent color gives the bark it's silvery-like sheen. Beautiful. My purchase came with clear tracking info, excellent communication, and was professionally handled too.
