About the icon: In the Athos Lavra there is an icon of the "Economissa", which depicts the Mother of God with the infant Jesus, two saints-Athanasius of Athos, Michael of Sinada, and angels. The history of the appearance of the image dates back to the X century, when the construction of the Great Lavra began. The Mother of God appeared to the founder of the monastery and blessed it on its foundation, promising to be the abbess of the monastic monastery for all time.
Prayers are offered to the holy image if there are material problems. The Mother of God, the Economist, is asked: to give daily bread for every day; to protect from hunger; to protect from bankruptcy. Turning to the holy image helps both the poor and the wealthy believers. Among the pilgrims to the Athos Lavra, there are many entrepreneurs who humbly pray to the Mother of God.
