Production method
This mythological motif was applied to the plate using the underglaze process using decolithography and a little hand painting. The plate is decorated in cobalt blue and decorated with gold-colored floral motifs. This plate is a limited edition. The plate has the number 49.
History
The plate shows a mythological scene from the Atnike. These are the three graces. They are also known as the Charites in Greek mythology or Gratiae in Roman mythology. The Three Graces were goddesses of grace, beauty and joy, often depicted in connection with nature and artistic representations.
The middle seated Grace is Aglaia, the goddess of beauty and splendor. The two standing graces are her sisters Euphrosyne (the goddess of joy) and Thalia (the goddess of festivity and high-spirited benevolence).
Grace Aglaia touches an amphora with her hand, indicating her connection to fertility and abundance, as amphoras are often associated with wine, a symbol of joy and enjoyment.

This plate was made by the famous Czechoslovakian porcelain manufacturer EPIAG D.F. manufactured (First Bohemian Porcelain Industry Corporation, David Flegel)
It was founded in 1859 in Pirkenhammer, Bohemia (now the Czech Republic). The factory produced a variety of porcelain ware, including tableware, vases, figurines and other decorative items.
