I've owned one of these for years and given several as gifts. ( I most recently I bought one for my adult daughter who was still peeling potatoes with an "old style" peeler.) Such a simple device that does so many things. Besides the potato peeling/slicing, etc. ability, this is a wonderful tool for peeling and coring apples for apple pie and other desserts. Love it!
The reason I have always bought instant potatoes and canned apple pie filling was because of all the time it takes to peel them. Now though, it takes less time to peel, slice and core 5 apples for a dutch apple pie than it does to make the crumble topping. I will also enjoy fried taters and onions more often now too. I mean your ready to fry in less time than it takes for the skillet to heat up. Plus the slices are consistently more even, and I'm not dulling my knives.

Love these apple peelers! hubby is an apple pie lover, so he's always happy to do the peeling and I can hardly get the pie crust ready before he has a whole bowl of apples ready for me!! The slices come out fairly thin so cook well whether piled in a pie or in little tarts.

I’m really pleased with the product— peels, slices and cores beautifully. The base doesn’t clamp very sturdily or I’d give it top marks, but it does the job: I peeled, sliced and cored six apples for a pie in less than five minutes.
Neat little gadget works great saves time and gets two jobs done at once. Glad I purchased it.
