I don't think the magnification is 45X. Maybe 4.5X, but that's probably for the tiny magnifier at base of the lens. Anyway, the light is the hero of this. My 95 yr old mother can't see anything and she can read somewhat with this.

Received shoes put them on my feet felt so good. I had a doctor’s appointment that next morning started at 10am and finished at 6pm. My body felt like it was going to fall apart my feet felt like they were walking on clouds. I recommend them highly .
