Antique Soviet Chess Book Maiselis - Chess - Fundamentals of Theory. Format: Encyclopedic format. Year of publication: 1960. Measurements: 10,24" х 7,87" (26 x 20 cm). 390 pages.

Annotation: The theory of chess in this book is presented in a clear and orderly manner, inextricably linked with practical play. Using numerous examples from tournament games of outstanding masters, the reader step by step masters the basics of chess strategy and tactics.

The book consists of three parts:

1 - "Elements of the game"

2 - "Chess game" - is a systematic presentation of the basics of the opening, the middle of the game and the endgame. The chapter on the openings was written by the international master M. Yudovich.

3 - "The Development of the Chess Style (A Brief Historical Sketch)" - tells about the origin of chess, the gradual development and deepening of their strategy, various schools in the art of chess. Creative portraits of world champions are given.
