About this item
"The DIY No-Frills Bitters Kit - when you don't need the pretty box or test tubes or laminated recipes." You're the kind of person that just wants to make your bitters without having to buy a bunch of ingredients in quantities that will stay in your cupboard until you retire!
Plus, some of those ingredients are real expensive in small quantities (I see you Gentian Root).
I buy in bulk so you don't have to, and I pass the savings (and some wisdom) on to you. What you see is what you get: Two 4-0z bottles and enough ingredients to make the 8 oz of bitters to fill them.
You just need to provide orange peels (or another citrus peel) and the liquor that extracts that Aromatic goodness from the dry ingredients. You'll also need a pint jar to steep everything in, and a kitchen funnel & coffee filter to separate them when done.
It's that easy.
And you can save up to 18% when buying in bulk!
What's the recipe, you ask? It's one I came up with to closely resemble what I consider to be the King of Bitters - Angostura. I'll have other recipes later, but for now, I just have this one. And boy is it tasty!
I provide easy-to-follow instructions, and a few ideas on ways to tweak the recipe to your taste.
Don't drink coffee so you don't have filters? Message me and I'll throw one in.
Dry Ingredients: Gentian Root, Wild Cherry Bark, Allspice, Clove, Anise Star, Cardamom, Fennel.
