1095 HIGH CARBON STEEL: Holds a great edge and it can be easily sharpened. High carbon steel can be easily get rusted to avoid rust. Apply a thin laver of mineral oil.

DAMASCUS BLADE

DAMASCUS STEEL: Hand forged with 1095 High Carbon Steel and 15N20 Alloy Steel. Damascus for this blade was created by forge welding multiple layers of steels into a Solid block called a billet (15N20 and 1095 High Carbon Tool Steels). The Billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce several layers. Patterns are created by manipulating the steel during the forge welding process. When acid is added to the blade. It attacks the layers of hard and soft steels differently, highlighting the attractive layered pattern in the Steel. Damascus steel can be easily get rusted to avoid rust. Apply a thin laver of mineral oil.

Tips to Care

Your blade will last a lifetime if properly cared for. Here are some guidelines for care and maintenance. Always wipe and dry your blade after use. Store your blade in a sheath for safety. Sharpen your knife with water stone or with a strop razor sharpness. Based on your purchase the handle could be made of a naturally dense and oily wood, buffalo horn, camel bone, resin, micarta etc. It is very durable, but not indestructible. Do Not subject the handle to excessive heat. Direct flame, acidic or caustic solutions or long-term submersion in liquid. If you are planning to store the blade for long time then clean the blade with WD-40 completely dry it then apply layer of mineral Oil, wrap it in plastic wrapping paper and store it in a sheath.
