I grew up in the countryside, in a very small southern rural town. I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't in love with butterflies, birds, flowers, animals, and all beautiful things in nature. My busy mom made time for our afternoon walks in the woods, and she taught me about many kinds of wildlife, trees and beautiful wildflowers. Art has always been a big part of my life and I've been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember. As a career, I was drawn to designing custom fine jewelry, and I spent over 40 years in my own studio at a jeweler's bench, doing what I love.
