Dinosaur Egg crochet
Before my dinosaur-loving son turned 3 years old, I spent a lot of time procrastinating about how to make the egg for the baby dinosaur that he was convinced was growing in HIS tummy (as I was currently pregnant with our third at the time, and he also wanted to have a baby), and would hatch on his birthday.
I wasn’t even sure that crocheting an egg would work, and had decided that paper machê was probably the best option…but thought it would be worth trying something using some of the left-over T-shirt yarn in my stash. I was very pleased with the result, and so was my son!
The written crochet pattern (in US terms) calls for T-shirt yarn and a 10.00 mm crochet hook.
Additional materials required are:
– darning needle
– sewing needle
– red thread
– one large button
P.S. You can find the pattern for his baby dinosaur (that he asked me to “build with orange crochet”, after seeing a picture of a dinosaur that I had drawn) in my Etsy shop.
