- The M4A3 Sherman tank with serial number 3035867 (Cobra King) was one of the first tanks to break through the German defenses and reach the surrounded American forces in Bastogne. The tank played a key role in the liberation of Bastogne and the Allied victory in the Battle of the Bulge. The tank was assigned to the 4th Armored Division of the United States Army. It was commanded by Lieutenant Johnson. The tank was armed with a 75mm cannon and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. During the Battle of the Bulge, the Cobra King participated in several major battles, including the Battle of Bastogne, the Battle of St. Vith, and the Battle of Liege. The tank was damaged several times in battle, but the crew was able to repair it each time.
