About this item

Drawing inspiration from the long seax blades associated with early Northern European and Anglo-Saxon weapon forms, this 42-inch piece favors a bold, practical silhouette over the elaborate guards and fittings found on conventional longswords.

The blade has a broad, predominantly straight profile that gradually transitions toward an angular pointed tip. Its clean polished surface keeps attention on the unusual proportions and substantial blade geometry.

The compact hilt is finished in warm brown leather with angular dark fittings at the guard and pommel, creating a rugged contrast against the bright steel. Accompanying the blade is a full-length brown leather sheath with visible edge stitching and a retaining/belt strap secured by a brass-tone stud.

The resulting character is distinctly different from ornate knight or Elven swords—more Saxon, Norse and migration-era inspired in appearance.
