The 1950s model popular chess set USSR. The knights and finials of the queens/kings made of wood!
Since the 1960s the knights and the finials of the many soviet chess sets had been making of plastic.
The second half of the 1950s was the time when the artel, as a production unit, ceased to exist and moved to another form of economic organization, usually a larger one. As a result, both the variety of Soviet chess and its quality were lost.
