Basket Weaver Damascus Steel Dagger - Hand Forged Pattern Welded Steel Knife 

The Damascus steel is considered to be one of the most sought after steels for blades because of not only its beauty, but also its ability to continuously maintain a sharp edge over the course of its lifespan.

This dagger has been forged by hand using Damascus steel to create its blade. There are 400-520 layers of steel in the blade that are heated and folded over and over in order to give it its distinctive wave-like appearance. In this case, the 1095/15N20 steel used is heated and quenched to produce a Rockwell Hardness rating of 58-60.

In addition to the blade, the pommel and guard are made from Damascus steel, and carry the same wave pattern as the blade. It is made up of a beautiful basket weave design on the wooden handle, which complements the brass inserts and the red wood inserts well. With this exquisite dagger, you will find a hand-tooled leather sheath that has been stained a rich, red-brown color along with it.
