These steels have been folded over and over approximately 400-520 times, and the end result of careful heat treating and tempering creates a Rockwell hardness rating between 58-60. Damascus steel is not only quite beautiful to look at; its durability along with flexibility is what makes it so valuable among collectors. Not only is the Damascus a unique feature on this sword; the handle is made from polymer and the cross guard and heart-shaped pommel are composed of 100% pure brass. Included is a hand-tooled genuine leather back sheath that is black in color. Needless to say, this sword is fit for a king.
