Discover the beauty and warmth of this top-down, triangular shawl knitting pattern. With lace and garter stitch texture, you'll craft an everyday accessory that's perfect for a winter coat or a stylish statement piece. The pattern includes both written instructions and charts.

Notes:

  • Spikelet shawl is a triangular shawl, that is worked top down in one piece.
  • The body of the shawl is knitted using a lace pattern with the knot stitch, in the border - a textural pattern that is knitted by combining a lace floral pattern with garter stitches, which will require little attention in the wrong side rows.
  • There are 200 rows in the sample, but the size of the shawl is adjustable.
  • Skills: basic knitting skills (knit, purl, ssk, k2tog, sk2p, yo, knot stitch), reading charts or working with written instructions, blocking lace shawls.
  • Skill level: Intermediate, advanced beginner.
  • Notions: 2 markers, row counter (optional), blocking pins, crochet hook (optional).
  • This pattern is available in English.

Yarn: You will need 170-250 gr of Fingering or Sport weight yarn with the most natural fiber content (wool, merino wool, alpaca, cotton, linen) or blend of 2 or more natural fibers.

Yardage: 742.9 yds (679.3 m).

Finished measurements (after blocking):
Wingspan 74.8'' (190 cm).
Depth 33.5'' (85 cm).

Happy Knitting!
