Old model of Queens Gambit chess set -1960s model of Mordovian 1950s style chess.
I can say another way: the classic Mordovian ASSR 1950s chess figures became more and more primitive over the years until they took their final form close to the chess shown in the Queen's Gambit film.
This is the 1960s model. Mordovian chessmen style were taken as exemplar by other manufacturers in the 1960s-1970s and as it was mentioned before the production in that period was more primitive.
The knights underwent the greatest change, which in the 1960s and partly in the early 1970s were still well made, but already in the 1970s -1980s they began to be made as much as possible in a simplified form. It's less waste of time, cheaper production, nothing personal, just business. On the other hand, this seems to be the result of the closure of small cooperative enterprises (which happened in the late 1950s) - artels that made chess more qualitatively.
Height of the king is 96 mm., base is 37 mm.
