Sold as partly working. Shutter works properly at 1/250 sec (at slower speeds curtains move lazy or with gap, at 1/500 shutter fires after a small pause). Body has signs of age, one screwbolt is absent at the rear side. Self-timer does not work (lever moves and then gets stuck). Lens and take-up spool are not included, body only.
History of the camera
This is a futher development of "Zorki-C" model which was copied from Soviet "FED" camera which was in turn copied from German Leica II (Leica D).
In addition to synchrocontact with changeable forestalling time 0-25 ms and change of release button and rewind mechanism activation, self timer was added.
Camera was produced since 1956 till 1960 at Krasnogorsky mechanical plant (KMZ). Total 214 903 pieces made.
Default lenses are "Industar-22"(3.5/50), "Industar-50"(2.8/50), "Jupiter-8" (2/50). Of course, all lenses with M39 (LTM) mount fit this camera.
Bottom cover is removable. Body is aluminium.
Shutter is cloth, horizontal moving. Shutter speeds: 1/25, 1/50, 1/100, 1/250, 1/500 sec and B. Shutter speed can be set before or after cocking the shutter.
Viewfinder and rangefinder are not united, have separate windows. Viewfinder magnification - 0.44x, rangefinder has no magnification. Rangefinder base - 38mm.
Camera has tripod socket 3/8".
Camera can use standard film cassetes and dual cylinder cassettes from Leica.
Its price was 30 Soviet roubles (with average salary about 120 Soviet roubles per month), so it was not expensive.
