Zorki 6 body USSR rangefinder 35mm film camera KMZ M39 LTM mount

Very good condition. Everything works properly. Shutter curtain had a large abrasion area with light leakage - fixed with insulating tape (see the last photo). Body has signs of age and use. Lens is not included, body only. Take-up spool is included.

History of the camera
"Zorki-6" was made since 1959 till 1966 by Krasnogorsky Mechanical Plant named after Zverev (KMZ), Krasnogorsk, USSR. Camera was unified with SLR "Zenit-3m" (shutter is the same). Upper lid is taken from "Zorki-5". New method of body making was introduced - aluminium casting under pressure.

Probably, it is the only rangefinder which was designed on the base of SLR. Camera was designed as a cheap rangefinder instead of rather expensive "Zorki-4" with reduced shutter speed range.

Camera has a united viewfinder and rangefinder with one common eyepiece. Rear aluminium cover is removable on hinges. Eyepiece got a built-in dioptric adjustment (+/- 2 dioptres). Rangefinder has base 65mm. 

Camera can use standard film cassetes and dual cylinder cassettes from Leica. Default lenses are "Jupiter-8"(2/50), "Industar-50"(3.5/50). Of course, all lenses with M39 (Leica thread-mount) mount fit this camera.

Flash synchronization ("X" and "M") and self-timer.
Camera has tripod socket 3/8".
Shutter is cloth, curtains move horizontally. Shutter speeds possible: 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 and B.
Totally 385 207 cameras were made.  
In 1958 and 1959 KMZ produced "Zorki-5",which looks like "Zorki-6". In fact these cameras differ greatly. "Zorki-5" is similar to early KMZ rangefinders ("Zorki", "Zorki-C", "Zorki-2", "Zorki-2C"). It has removable bottom cover. "Zorki-6" is more progressive with self-timer and rear cover on hinges.

To my mind, it is the best USSR rangefinder.
