I haven't had the chance to use these peelers yet on root vegetables, however, I did grate cheese with it and am very impressed, all three did a great job, I also sliced some cucumber with one of them and loved the thin slices it gave me.

Once we decided on supper, it was an obvious opportunity to use our new toys. My wife used the black peeler to spoon out potato ears and I used the blue peeler to make some cucumber strings for a salad. LOVE the peelers and this was well worth the cost. Thank you.

Shredding and peeing have never been so easy. The blades are very sharp and the tips are angled to make less work of the job with no strain. They are easy on aging joints.
