It springs into a full sized riot baton, is rigid, easily maneuvered, and come September it will be legal to use in Texas (along with brass knuckles, for self-defense). Its actually the second one . The first one believe it or not was stolen from my car. So I decided to buy a new one. Pro - compact , easy to open and probably VERY EFFECTIVE./ did not have a chance to use/ . Anyway its must have stuff to keep in the car. Even in Canada bad stuff might happen and better be ready and safe then sorry. I rather see the bad guys suffer then put my family or myself at risk.

Arrived on time and appears exactly as described. Easy to activate, but a little difficult when you are putting it back into its compact form. Hint - unwind it a little bit before trying to collapse it and it is much easier.

Good unit once i worked it out only took a few minutes so now i will carry it everywhere

This expandable metal staff exceeded my expectations, you have to practice a little to get the hang of it, but it is all worthwhile.
