The high-quality Strap Cutter for tanners is made from solid ash wood in the best carpentry tradition. The anatomical shape of the handle with a lanyard hole for hanging the tool, a longitudinal groove is made to hold the edge of the unraveled leather, has two scales ("metric" 10 centimeters, "inch" 4 inches), reliable steel fittings with decorative patina, the maximum thickness of the unraveling belt blank is 7 mm. 9mm segmented blades are used as the cutting part. I recommend using Japanese blades Olfa ABB BLACK MAX, they are incredibly sharp. The kit comes with one blade, which is divided into 3 parts. One part of 5 segments is enough for the dissolution of 10 standard length belt blanks.
The instrument is made of solid ash with an incredible texture and modulations, covered with Italian stain and two layers of Italian oil-wax.
The maximum workpiece thickness is 7mm

I live in the UK and I received my strap cutter today, the quality as you can see is second to none, beautifully crafted even down to the grain of the wood. The measurements are 100% accurate and without doubt a tool that will last a lifetime. A real pleasure to hold in my hand and as you can imagine it cuts perfect straps. I ordered this one it was a little more expensive than the other ones but boy was it ever worth it it is the best strap cutter I’ve ever used very accurate very tight tolerances just wanted to put in a good word for them
