Barbatiman is a medicinal plant rich in alkaloids, flavonoids and sterols, which have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties. This plant is widely used in traditional medicine for the treatment of wounds, bleeding, burns, sore throat, swelling, skin bruises, dermatitis, chilblains, and diabetic foot.
