The inscription inside the ring reads: إتحاد الجمهوريات العربية / جمهورية مصر العربية (Union of Arab Republics / Arab Republic of Egypt), and the inscription on the outside of the ring -١٠ قروش / ١٣٩٢ / ١٩٧٢ / جمهورية مصر العربيه (Piastres / 1392 / 1972 / Arab Republic of Egypt ).
The gray metallic Arabic script creates the feeling that the ring is made not from a coin, but from a piece of a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
