The book is a fascinating story about the first studies of the higher layers of the atmosphere with missiles. Of particular interest is the description of the initial stage of the research and the first launches of missiles V-2, Viking, Bumper-WAC, WAC Corporal, Aerobee, Veronica etc. the first photo runs from the landfill, "white Sands". Set of schemes of placement, photos of the equipment and the moments of tests, schedules. Historical excursions in the study of the atmosphere ( Kennelly, Hivisaid, Appleton, etc.) of Historical interest are the results of observations at the start of mice and monkeys in the early 50s, as well as very curious forecasts in the development of outer space by people.
