I mostly paint my paintings to order. You can choose the icon and size for you. I have a website where you can watch and order an icon.

Materials: egg tempera, genuine gold leaf (23kt), solid lime wood panel reinforced with horizontal oak support bars, varnish

Technique: egg tempera, gilding, hand engraving

The icon is painted using traditional technique - egg tempera on wood. For the background we use 23 karat genuine gold leaf. 

The wood board is traditionally covered with a linen cloth and several layers of gesso (levkas). At the end the board is sanded to a smooth finish. After the painting process is completed, several layers of varnish are applied for long lasting protection.
