History reference: Artel "Progress" was created after the war by a government decision, along with many other artels with the aim of employing disabled people. The artel was headed not by the director, but by the elected chairman; a hostel was organized for the workers. Workshops worked: jewelry (earrings, brooches), plastic (combs, soap dishes), porcelain (dishes, sculpture). The artel did not last long, the porcelain production was curtailed, and the artel was transferred to the jewelry department.
