History reference: The artist V.Viktorov and the author of the text A.Padalinsky convincingly presented the history of the formation and development of the Soviet cosmonautics of September 4, 1957, when the world's first artificial satellite of the Earth was launched into Earth orbit until November 17, 1970, when an automatic self-propelled vehicle "Lunokhod-1", controlled from the Earth.

All the main spacecraft, created and put into Earth orbit during this period of time, are shown sequentially. On the back of each postcard is given a fairly detailed explanatory text.
