MATERIALS: paper, oil paints, palette knife.
This is not a print, not a poster, not a print. I painted this picture myself. All my works in the store are original, all paintings are in a single copy.
I paint in oils using mostly a palette knife, with dense application, bold strokes, painterly detail and rich colors.
The palette knife gives my art a unique combination of contrast, fluidity, depth, texture and impact. The surprisingly thick texture obtained with the knife reflects light better than a regular brush and gives a beautiful sense of movement with subtle highlights.
