Exclusive decorative jewelry box Russian lacquer miniature "Trinity Lavra of St Sergius", with gold leaf. Made of papier-mache Palech. Home decor.Handmade in Russia.

This box is an incomparable work of Russian artists from the Moscow region. The basis of the product is papier-mâché, which is not inferior in strength to wood, but allows you to create graceful shapes to give more expressiveness. The technology for creating a blank requires special skill: within a month, the box is pressed several times, soaked in oil and dried. This is followed by the best representatives of this folk art craft. The village of Palech, located 40 km north of Moscow on the banks of the Ucha River, is the oldest center of lacquer miniature in Russia. The secrets of making and painting on papier-mâché in Palech have been passed down from generation to generation for over 200 years.
