Vintage pocket watch "Molnija". Series "Discovery Day". "Columbus and the Discovery Day" .

Watch model released in honor of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. A rare collection series. Limited edition. They did not enter free sale. Year of release of 1991.

It is made in the USSR. New ones. Were not in use. All watch details and the chain are genuine, original.

Watch case: diameter without crown: 2" (5 cm), diameter with crown: 2,3" (5.8 cm), 0,6" (1.5 cm) thick.

Neusilber case and lid (new silver), polishedThe front and back surfaces of the lid are polished around the perimeter. In the center of each side is a relief pattern.

Some elements of the figure are made by hot enamel technology. Dial: Brass, polished, nickel-plated with additional processing of the field, with the image of the ornament. The figure on the dial is embossed, minted. Cartouches are filled with white enamel. Roman numeration. Arrows are curly, openwork. There is a side second hand.

Please note: the watch is equipped with a Bigel (earring / ring for a chain) and an original vintage cupronickel chain (Chatelain) - which is rare in other sellers!

Note: there are glare of light in the photo! Condition: Corresponds to age and grade. Vintage condition. Original Art painting. Nevertheless there are “traces” of time.  But this watch fascinates with its History and Vintage. Take a good look at the photos as they are part of the description!

The clock is serviceable. They work quietly and accurately. Services watchmaker (cleaned, lubricated and calibrated).

This watch is an excellent object for investment, a gift to the collector, for Father's Day, for the wedding of the groom, for Christmas, New Year and other holidays.

Please note that a pocket mechanical watch is a delicate device. They must not be dropped and exposed to humid, very hot or very cold conditions. With full unwinding, the mechanism should never be wound more than 15-20 times. If the watch is already running, turns can be significantly less. Mechanical watches require careful translation of the hands in order to resume their movement. This watch they work without battery.
