Cedar oil is a source of polyunsaturated fatty acids of the Omega-6, Omega-3 family, including pinolenic acid (20%). The presence of this acid is found only in various types of cedar oil.

Pinolenic acid is an isomer of gamma-linolenic acid of the Omega-6 family activates the mechanisms of cellular immunity, which is the basis for the widespread use of pinolenic acid and cedar oil in most diseases. Studies by Japanese scientists have shown that Pinolenic acid in cedar oil is able to lower cholesterol, normalize the lipid spectrum of the blood and positively affect systolic pressure.
