The study of the chemical composition of monarda essential oil was carried out in Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry SB RAS, with the participation of the Central Siberian Botanical Garden SB RAS and its Altai branch, as well as the department of organic chemistry of Novosibirsk State University.
The study of the chemical composition of monarda revealed biologically active substances with strong antiseptic action against pathogenic bacteria, fungi and protozoa.
