Dyatkovo Crystal Factory is one of the oldest and largest enterprises of the domestic glass industry. It was founded in 1790 by A.Maltsev. Until 1917, produced a vast range of running glassware from colorless glass (crystal), decorated with faceted patterns. In 1920-1930-ies, along with the refinery and the plant "Red giant" - leading in the Soviet Union in the field of art glass. The factory has kept traditions of complex artistic processing of crystal. In 1959, the production of sulphide-zinc glass was mastered. In 1969, a new crystal workshop equipped with the latest technology was commissioned. The factory has a large art laboratory. In 1976, the largest glass museum in the industry was opened. The plant has a number of honorable prizes and awards, awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
