Item description from the seller

The ring is made from the so-called "British type" of silver shilling (there is also a "Scottish" type, but it is not very suitable for conversion into a ring). This shilling was minted in silver during the reigns of Kings George V and George VI. At first glance, you might think that the coin depicts a lion. But, according to the rules of heraldry, a lion, whose body is shown from the side, and the muzzle in full face, is called a leopard.
