Voluntary national teams — Soviet and Russian volunteer organization assisting governmental authorities in the protection of public order, the protection of the state border, at the enterprise level, collective farms, building management, streets or villages.

In the USSR squad had the status of a social self-help organizations, their task was to fight crime, assistance to the border troops in the protection of the state border, the prevention and suppression of violations of public order and conduct educational outreach in cooperation with state authorities[1]. In its activities, the team received assistance from the state, Komsomol, party and trade Union organizations.
