The production of birch bark is considered to be one of the oldest crafts and is originally Russian. Craft was distributed in the Russian North, the Urals and Siberia. During the excavations of the Kuznetskiy Ostrog, the archeologists of the museum discovered the bottoms of the 17th century tusks, as well as numerous remnants of birch bark products, which make it possible to talk about the development of birch-barking in our city in ancient times. The milk, sour cream, honey and other products were stored in the toes. The products were stored in them for a very long time. birch bark has bactericidal properties, and milk and kvass in the heat in the Tuyus remained cold for a long time, and hot water, on the contrary, did not cool for a long time. This pitcher was made during the Soviet Union and served as a souvenir gift or interior decoration.
