History reference: Verbilki from one of the largest porcelain centers of Russian culture. Until now, the locals cherish the unique porcelain products, and the craftsmen preserve their wonderful traditions, passing on from generation to generation craftsmanship, respect for precious materials, love for nature, which gave the opportunity to be born and flourish for a unique production. The factory was founded by a Russified English merchant - FRANTS YAKOVLEVICH GARDNER in 1766 (according to other sources, 1754). After the successful completion of the order of the imperial court for the production of 4 order sets - Georgievsky, Andreevsky, Aleksandrovsky and Vladimirsky in 1778-1785, the Verbilkovsky porcelain brand became widely known and unconditional vocation. The products of Verbilkovsk craftsmen were not inferior in quality to the first-class products of the imperial factory. At the world exhibitions in Paris (1937) and Brussels (1958), the plant's products were awarded the Big Gold and Silver medals. In 1966, for success in the development of domestic porcelain and in connection with the 200th anniversary of its foundation, the enterprise was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
