A fabulous Christian Orthodox Icon of St. Nikita Besogon Beating the devil, NIkita the Devil-beater.
Saint Nikita, who received the nickname Besogon, the son of king Maximian. Was subjected to the father of unimaginable torture because he became a Christian, and then for three years imprisoned in a dungeon. Here the Saint was the devil in angelic disguise and tried to seduce Him. But Nikita, prayed, grabbed the demon by the hair and stepped on his neck and broke his chains. When the king summoned Him again for questioning Nikita's hand brought the devil with me and showed father the one who dominates over him. And that the father believed in Christ, Nikita revived two long-dead spouses. But nothing worked for Maximian. And then the whole city with the Queen rebelled against him. In this day baptized eighteen thousand four hundred men, and soon found peace in God.
In conversation it is said that it helps in the teaching, healing, casting out devils, free from bondage, helps us to repent of our sins and be freed from the enticements of the devil.
This icon is a high-resolution lithography print on hardboard, embellished with light-reflecting gold and silve foil.
