Antique Soviet Chess Books in 3 vols Averbakh - Chess Endings:

1. "Chess Endings: Pawn, Bishop, Knight Endings". 1956 year. 480 pages. This book covers three types of endings: pawn, bishop and knight. The book begins with a short essay "Checkmate the Lonely King".

2. "Chess Endings: Knight vs. Bishop, Rook Endings". 1958 year. 368 pages. This publication presents the latest achievements of practice and provides theoretical calculations for all the main types of chess endings. This paper presents knight versus bishop endings, as well as rook endings.

3. "Chess Endings: Queen's, Rook vs. Minor Piece". 1962 year. 836 pages. This book contains four sections: queen endings, queen versus rook, queen versus minor piece, and rook versus minor piece.

Depending on the number and location of the pawns participating in the struggle, the material of the book includes both the simplest educational positions and complex endings, studies.

The books can be used as a teaching aid for playing endings, as well as reference books when analyzing deferred games.
