- Oak heat treatment is the process of exposing the wood to high temperatures. In addition, during the heat treatment process, the remaining moisture is removed from the wood, as a result of which the wood becomes immune to moisture and any biological influences, the wood acquires a unique color from dark brown to very, very dark. So if You need a very dark version, email me in advance and I'll choose a darker box. A coating of the thermalized box with aromatic oil will give shine and additional protection from external influences.
